ABSOLUTELY! It is my responsibility and my obligation to keep your information private. The only time I may disclose private information, other than to insurance companies, is if someone is in imminent danger. For parents who trust me in treating their kids, I find it important to keep information discussed in sessions private as well, even though I always encourage open communication when possible. This allows me to have a trusting relationship with your child or teen!
Sessions are typically one hour in length.
My sessions are a safe space for people regardless of gender, sexuality, culture, race, and religion. I begin open discussions on these areas as a part of my initial assessment period, and they are continued throughout treatment. I welcome honesty, feedback, and information to ensure all feel safe and accepted in my practice. I also do my best to pursue continuing education on cultural humility practices both in and outside of therapy.
I specialize in supporting clients heal from both past wounds and present-day challenges through cognitive-behavioral and experiential modalities. My work integrates evidence-based trauma modalities (ie, EMDR, parts work, somatic practices) with practical, real-time coping strategies to support clients in feeling grounded, empowered, and connected. I would love to partner with you to re-establish your sense of safety within the world!
